Bend the sprawling high desert city in central Oregon. Just a quick 2.5 hr jaunt over the cascades and your there. Bend is your typical High desert plateau with cool nights and Sunny days with very little rain.
Winter is on the horizon for Bend when it will be nearly impossible to travel through the cascades unless you have chains and a four wheel vehicle. Farewll Bend, another time, another place for another season.
