Jefferson Park is located in the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness. This Alpine meadow is located just below the northwest slopes of Mt Jefferson. Two friends and I hiked the strenuous 5 mile hike to the park. We camped out overnight under clear skies and a full moon.

Hey Michael, glad you guys had a good time and good weather! What a nice picture of Mt. Jefferson.

Thanks Joy, we had a great time. I remember it was getting dark and we were sitting around the camp stove trying to keep warm and off in the distance I saw a brown flash dart into the trees. I didn't think about it at the time but after seeing the cougar tracks the next morning I realize now it probably was a cougar. It was probably stalking us hoping to get a meal. Can you imagine that, it gives me the shivers just thinking about it.

Was in the Park around 1965 with my brother and dad. We saw a large herd of elk and a large black bear with 2 cubs. I remember it being beautiful! I am going back next summer with my brother, my wife, daughter, her husband and my son. Looking forward to the past!
