Galante Fishing Map

My father loved fishing and this favorite pastime of his was passed down to his sons, who likewise enjoy it whenever they get a chance, especially when they are together.

To paraphrase a wise fisherman (my brother Robert) "Most people do not appreciate what fishing is really about and the special moments you spend together with family and friends. It's not a hobby but a passion, where relationships are built with one another and the challenge of the sport is shared."

So I created a little map here that highlights some of the prized fishing spots the Galante's have fished, so you too can experience some of the excitement fishing has to offer and the rewarding relationships it can foster.

The Journey Home

| | Comments (1)

As I reflect on my time visiting home I do so with deep emotion. About two weeks prior to our visit my dear Mother passed away. She passed away due to complications from pulmonary hypertension, a debiltating condition that literally takes your breath away little by little. (If you find it in your heart please donate to help find a cure for this disease)

We enjoyed our visit and delighted in the time we were able to spend with my family. We thank everybody for the time we had together and look forward to many more days ahead. God willing.

Here is a blast from the past. In the summer of 2002 I took memorable fishing trip with my brothers to the great north woods of Maine to the famed West branch of the Penobscot river. We set up camp on the Big Eddy, a world-famous landlocked salmon fishing pool.

This is Thoreau country—the setting for the two journeys described in Henry David Thoreau’s The Maine Woods.

Our Florida vacation was a blast. The weather was in the 80's most of the time we were there, which allowed us plenty of time in the water :-) Walt Disney World was truly a magical place that captivated the child in us all.
