Spring Fishing Trip 2012

The boys and I had a great time on our annual Spring fishing trip. A tradition my father started when I was a boy. He would take us into the wilds of Main and New Hampshire camping and fishing. Those time created good memories we had together that unfortunately not everybody has the opportunity to partake in.

We camped 4 nights on the Crooked River in Central Oregon. This is a beautiful river that holds a lot of catch-able trout. They readily came to the fly or lure, although not all of them were as big in the pictures, it’s always fun catching them no matter what size. Central/Eastern Oregon is a vastly different environment then the valley or coast, not much rain gets past the Cascade mountains and as a result you have dry almost desert like conditions.
